Over € 79 million generated in business since 2012 IGTM

The International Golf Travel Market (IGTM), the world’s most important fair for golf tourism suppliers, buyers, and media, has helped generate an estimated turnover of over 79 million euros for the golf travel industry since 2012.

The post-event analysis, organized by Reed Travel Exhibitions, revealed that during the last three editions, the event attracted an average of 364 buyers per year. The study also shows that:

  • 31% of buyers generate a commercial value of between €50,000 and €200,000.

  • 17% of buyers closed deals worth more than €200,000 as a direct result of their attendance at the fair, according to the professional newspaper Travel Daily News.

The event, which follows a workshop format, will be held this year at the Magma Convention Centre in Tenerife from October 5 to 8, and it is expected to generate more than 10,000 meetings between professional buyers and sellers in the golf tourism industry.

According to Peter Grimster, Exhibition Director at Reed Exhibitions:

“We are constantly looking for ways to innovate and improve business and networking opportunities at IGTM. Our efforts, which have generated over 79 million euros in business since 2012, remain exceptional and reinforce the importance of the event for the entire golf travel industry”.

Around 500 companies have committed to exhibiting at IGTM 2015, and over 1,500 people are expected to attend, representing national and regional tourism organizations, resorts, and golf courses.

A major draw of the event is, undoubtedly, its role as a meeting point for golf tourism professionals worldwide, consolidating its position as the must-attend event for the sector.

Good luck to everyone and happy selling!
